About

I obtained my Bachelor′s degree in Dietetics from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Siena, which qualifies me to practice as a Dietician.
In the academic year 2004/05, I participated in the advanced course in Artificial Nutrition.
In the academic year 2010/11, I participated in the advanced course on Diet, Physical Exercise and Sport.
After gaining various experiences in the academic field, since 2008 I have been practicing privately, receiving patients in five clinics in Tuscany. I specialize in diet, human nutrition, dietary regimes, including for athletes.
I regularly attend continuing education courses and conventions and am a senior teacher in HACCP and Human Nutrition.

THE VISIT

I specialize in nutrition, dietary education, and the Mediterranean diet.

The first visit, which lasts about an hour, is for an in-depth anamnesis in which eating habits, lifestyles, and familiarity with certain diseases are analyzed. I also take necessary measurements and conduct a detailed analysis of body composition to estimate physical condition, degree of overweight or obesity, nutritional status, hydration status, basal metabolism, and the related energy expenditure (bioimpedance).

A week later, the second appointment, which lasts about 30 minutes and is included in the cost of the first visit, is for collecting the diet, explaining it in detail, and beginning the dietary education journey.

Every 30 days, I conduct a check-up visit.
ACTIVITIES
PERSONALIZED DIETS

I love talking about hyper-personalized diets because they are truly tailored, taking into account even work, social, and religious needs.
DIETS FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL STATES

I deal with nutritional interventions in various physiological states such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause.
DIETS FOR ATHLETES

For athletes, I adapt the daily diet to the varying nutritional needs caused by the increase in muscle work, in order to ensure sufficient calories to cover energy expenditure while maintaining a good level of psychological and physical well-being.
DIETS FOR DISEASES

Also with a medical prescription primarily for cancer patients, but also for those suffering from gastroesophageal reflux, hypercholesterolemia, constipation, etc.

MISSION

The term diet derives from the Greek word daita, which means lifestyle. This term essentially refers to a balanced and varied eating regime that fulfills nutritional needs and, if possible, also delivers individual culinary satisfaction. Prescribing a diet does not mean subjecting a person to drastic meal restrictions or even punishing them, as most patients nowadays think, but instead aims to construct a healthy eating regime based on three key principles:
  • Moderation, because food excesses lead to overweight and obesity;
  • Variety, because it′s necessary to eat all types of food, throughout the day and week;
  • Balance, because good nutrition must be both quantitatively and qualitatively balanced.
